I was raised in Colorado, and learned to identify the plants while hiking in the mountains. Moving to California, I picked up on the local plants quickly and I will always have a deep appreciation for the local flora.

I've done several projects where an extensive plant list was developed then I collected local seed and had the plants contract grown. This approach requires a bit more planning ahead but can be very affordable and there is just no substitute for having exactly what you want in the quantities needed as healthy young starts when it's time to plant in the fall.

I am currently focusing on my new business Bay Natives nursery and nature and landscape photography more than the design work as of 2006.
